Below are the Fall 2016 Girls and Boys BAYS Travel team rosters. Team rosters are determined by a combination of coaches evaluations from the prior year's play and the Spring tryout results. Every effort is made to be as fair as possible when determining the rosters.
The fields are expected to reopen for practices in late August, and BAYS games are scheduled September 10th - November 12th (including Columbus Day weekend). Players' families should begin hearing from their coaches in early August.
Our 3rd Grade "Limited Travel League" is the transition year into BAYS travel soccer. The 3rd Grade teams play a modified travel schedule; traveling to nearby towns for away games, hosting those same towns for home games, and also continuing to play some games vs. other WYSA 3rd grade teams. The games are all played on Saturdays, with the girls typically playing in the mornings, while the boys play in the afternoons. Home games are played at the fields at Mylod, Ellis or Fisher School.
Group Training Night with the REVS for the Fall 2016 season will run midweek for our travel-team age groups (3rd Grade and older) at Mylod fields under the supervision of the New England Revolution coaches. They are designed to help players improve their individual technical skills, and use those skills in play within small groups in a game-like environment.

You may have heard that there are a number of new initiatives coming to youth soccer. One has been implemented already (no heading of the ball in games until the BAYS U14 age group) but there are several more will be implemented in the future. Some of the major changes include age group adjustments, size of teams playing in different age groups and even the dimensions of the fields and goals! Of these, the age groups and number of players playing on a team in each age group are being implemented this Fall.
Just a reminder to all Walpole teams and visiting teams, that DOGS are NOT Allowed at any of our soccer fields. Coaches, Referees, Asst Coaches, Parent Managers, Parents, Players - please feel empowered to politely ask people to remove their dog from the field.

By signing up you can configure your Twitter account to have those Field Status updates emailed directly to you.
This is the fastest and easiest way to be notified when fields need to be closed due to unfavorable weather, saving you wasted trips to games and practices!
Walpole Youth Soccer fully supports the BAYS Zero Tolerance Policy. All individuals responsible for a team, and all spectators, shall support the referee, linesmen and players. Failure to do so will undermine the referee’s authority and has the potential of creating a hostile environment for the players, the referee, and all the other participants and spectators. A big THANK YOU you to Robert Kelleher for all his volunteer hours as a WYSA coach, and for using the VERIZON Foundation “Volunteer Incentive Program” which made a donation of $750 to support the programs of Walpole Youth Soccer and the children of Walpole MA.
