Submitted by wysa on Fri, 12/01/2017 - 17:24
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade players will play Sunday afternoons at Mylod - due to weather is now expected start Sun Apr 15th & run until Jun 17th.
The INTown program consists of skills clinics supervised by coaches from the New England Revolution, followed by games. These are the expected times for each group:
1st & 2nd grade Boys 12:00pm -1.30pm
Kindergarten (coed) 2pm -3pm
1st & 2nd grade Girls 3.30pm - 5pm
Each week your player should bring;
*their shirt (Kindergartners receive a shirt to keep on week 1, 1st & 2nd grade players receive a reversible shirt that 'must be returned at end of season' on week 1)
*size 3 ball (K players will receive a ball on week 1, 1st & 2nd grade players are to bring their own ball) which should have their name written on it
*re-useable water bottle (with name written on it!)
Please check the website each week before heading to the fields for weather or field updates.
The INTown program is skills-based, to encourage the kids to master the fundamentals of the game. Each week, the players work on a series of fun activities designed to develop their technical ability, then finish with a scrimmage. The program is challenging but fun, and by the end of the season you will notice significant improvement in their play and love of the sport.
Volunteer (parent) coaches are always welcome and asked to arrive 30 mins early each week. They will be provided an itinerary and demonstration by one of our professional coaches, who will remain through the entire session to step in and assist. No playing experience is necessary to be a successful volunteer coach.
Each week, the kids should remember to wear their shirt (provided by WYSA), cleats, shin guards, shorts, socks, their size 3 ball (name written on it!) and a reusable water bottle.
Full information on each program is available under the 'Programs' tab on the website homepage
