Subject: Walpole Soccer Raffle Fundraiser – Prizes Needed ASAP– We could use some help
Hi Walpole Soccer Families, Coaches & Volunteers
We are gearing up our WYSA Raffle Fundraiser - and need some quick help to line up some great Raffle Prizes ASAP. Read on for more information about the WYSA, our Volunteers and the Calendar Raffle.
================================
Walpole Youth Soccer is a 501c3 non-profit
================================
WYSA is an all volunteer organization supporting over 1,000 players, playing on 80 teams, from grades K through High School. The WYSA has over 175 volunteer coaches, asst coaches, parent managers, field helpers, coordinators, directors and other volunteers. All the volunteers willingly give their time to help the soccer players of Walpole have the best possible experience while out on the soccer fields. We are always seeking additional volunteers who have experience as coaches, and those who just want to help out - see the volunteer section below if you would like to give us a hand.
The registration cost varies by program, [In-Town K, u8, In-Town u10, Travel u11-u12-u14, and High School] depending on a variety of factors including, uniforms, level & number of referees, number of practices per week, which fields used, field maintenance costs, professional coaches [K & u8] and so on. Scholarships/Fee Waivers are available to those families who need them to make sure that all the Walpole soccer players who want to play soccer, get that chance.

Calendar Raffle
===========
But - registration does not cover all of the things we would like to do for our soccer players. So our big additional fundraiser is the Fall “Raffle Calendar”. Every day during the month of November, someone will win a prize or series of prizes generally worth over $100, and sometimes well over $250. Over the last several years, this extra money has been used to make sure that our fields at Mylod & Ellis are maintained at a very high level, also to help train over 80 soccer coaches and pay for them to get Mass Youth Soccer Licenses - so that they are better coaches for the players - and can train our players to be even better players, and to help upgrade the uniforms for all the players. Just last week we offered free goalie training to u10 InTown players, and u10-u14 travel players and over 85 players attended. We will be offering more special training for the players and also more training for the coaches. We are also working towards expanding our field space at Mylod and even more importantly our parking at Mylod so that we can better utilize our existing field space.

How can you help - you ask?
++++++++++++++++++++++
The success of our RAFFLE Calendar is dependant on what prizes we have to offer. So we are asking everyone to try to help us find some great items for the raffle. Maybe you have a great item or sports tickets you can donate, or maybe the company you [or your friends or relatives] work for has a great item, or maybe your favorite restaurant will be willing to donate an item the next time you go in. The better the items are the easier it will be to sell raffle tickets. Every day we would like to have a prize or group of prizes worth well over $100.
………………………………………………………………….
Past items that have been donated include the following:
………………………………………………………………….
RedSox Tickets
Patriots Tickets
Bruins Tickets
Celtics Tickets
BC Tickets - football, hockey, basketball
Revolution Tickets
Savings Bonds
Cash Prizes

Premium Corporate Items
Gift certificates (restaurants,retail shops, services)

Movie Tickets, [Note that if tickets are for a specific show/event they should be dated 12/1 or later)
