BAYS Personnel, Town Contacts & Coaches:

As an FYI, here are few simple rules and policies your Division Directors will be following.

Reporting Scores
  • Scores are to be reported to your section captain by both coaches within 48 hours of the game being played (Monday night for the regular Saturday game). The simplest thing is to do it first time you turn on your computer after your game. Please do not procrastinate-it’s too easy to forget. Be sure to correct your e-mail address so we all can contact you if needed.
  • Should you believe a forfeit is indicated or the referee declares the match forfeited or abandoned, please have the coach or travel coordinator report the facts to the Division Director sooner rather than later.
  • Coaches, if there is any disagreement as to the score - please report that to the Division Director.
Playing the Schedule
  • All games are to be played as scheduled with weather and field closing being the only exception. If you cannot make a specific Saturday have your assistant coach take over for that game or ask for help with your club. This Spring our only religious holiday is Easter Sunday, not Saturday
  • You must inform the division director of any preponed or postponed games due to the weather, Memorial Day tournaments or any other reason.
  • Make-ups are to be played with two weeks of the regularly scheduled date. Games not played by the date are subject to forfeits as of the scheduled date. If the BAYS Board modifies the make up window, we will communicate that to you.
  • Memorial Day games should (not mandatory) be pre-poned (played before the scheduled date) if you are in a tournament or do not have enough players for that weekend. Notification is supposed to happen by May 15 so please, check now.
  • Please work together to schedule make-ups. Please report all makeup dates to your section Captain and Division Director. However, please save all your email traffic in case you cannot work it out and the division director (not section Captain) has to make a judgment call as to who co-operated and who did not.
Communicating
  • Please let all coaches in your section know NOW where your home field is and when your game time is. (Lets make everyone’s life a little bit easier and let your players’ parents plan ahead. Surprises (letting a coach know the night before the game time is very different than 2:30 PM or the time published on the web site) are subject to forfeit.
Game Day
  • Have your passcard ready for the referee for the MTOC Sections. Not having at least one coach with a passcard at the game can result in a forfeit.
  • Have two rosters that match the ones in your Division Director’s possession and has NO HANDWRITTEN entries ON IT (except to add shirt numbers, waiver numbers, registrae’s and coach signature). Birthdates, names, town of residence may not be altered by the coach - contact your registrar to make those corrections and have it sent to the Division Director. Players phone numbers are not needed.
  • Please remind all your parents of the zero-tolerance rule in regards to addressing refs during the game. If you feel feedback is warranted about a referee at your game, the appropriate place to address it is on the BAYS Web Site and to your referee assignor after the game .

Good luck with your season and thanks in advance for your work. BAYS and your
players appreciate the time and effort you put in to make this a rewarding experience.

Play fair, have fun.
