Advanced Regional Diploma - Offered in Walpole this November
The Advanced Regional Diploma is a 21-hour course designed for the coach working with 11-18 year olds. An emphasis is placed on the basic methods of coaching, teaching proper technique, the theory and application of offensive & defensive tactics & understanding team management. The third day is devoted to technical and tactical uses of small-sided games, the study of systems of play and a practice teaching component. Participants are given an opportunity to conduct a training session on an assigned topic and are assessed by the course instructor. We will likely be coaching various Walpole travel teams at the u11, u12 & u14 levels during this course. Walpole will sponsor & pay for current Walpole coaches who are interested in this class. All candidates must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application. If a candidate is under 18 years of age, an adult must accompany him or her for the duration of the course.
This course will be offered in Walpole in November - location & exact times to follow
11/16 Friday afternoon - probably 5-10pm
11/17 Saturday all day - probably 8-5
11/18 Sunday all day - probably 8-5
Who can attend: This course is especially appropriate for all 1st & 2nd team travel coaches, and will also be be valuable for all other travel coaches as well. This course is ideally suited for current or future travel coaches who have completed their MYSA G [K/u8] and F [u10] license courses. We would also prefer you have your MYSA E, but this is not a requirement. Also if you are an experienced travel soccer coach without a formal license - we can waive you into the course - just let us know.

MYSA License Courses
WYSA coaches are strongly encouraged to become licensed by Mass Youth Soccer Association. WYSA occasionally hosts these classes here in Walpole. If these times are not convenient, you may take the class at another location - WYSA will reimburse you for the cost after you after you have completed the class. G-Level MYSA License Course
First course in the series - 4 hour course. Appropriate for all coaches, perfect for K & u8 Coaches

F-Level MYSA License Course
Second course in series - 8 hours. Appropriate for all coaches, perfect for U10 In-Town team coaches.

Third course in series - 16 hours. Appropriate for all coaches. All 1st team travel head coaches should have this license, and all other travel coaches would benefit greatly from having this license
